What happened
this spring.

A chronology of brief notes: where we walked, who we met, what I tried to eat. No filters, no heroic captions — just as it was.

A green creature is lying nearby. Very long, very quiet. I decided we were friends — it didn't object.

The windowsill is the best place to monitor the situation. The snow has nearly melted, which means something is about to happen. Watching.

Dandelions everywhere. I don't count them — I have other things to do. My nose knows where to go.

This is where it all began

Apparently they placed me next to the roses for "atmosphere." I didn't object — I was too small to have an opinion. That came later. Little Ferdinando.
